What is premature ejaculation?
A most common sexual dysfunction, even more common than impotence, PE is also very misunderstood, even by
many physicians and health professionals.
Basically stated, premature ejaculation is a type of sexual learning disability in which the individual has not learned
voluntary control of their ejaculation. During sex, men with learned control are able to repeatedly thrust while at
a high level of physical pleasure, and then ejaculate when they choose. This does not mean, though, that each
sexual episode lasts for hours at a time. What it does mean is that the individual can choose how long the pleasure
lasts, sometimes choosing a "quickie", and other times choosing to last considerably longer.
Premature ejaculators have not learned this voluntary control. As soon as they reach a high state of arousal they
ejaculate, even if they do not want to at that point. Unfortunately, the vast majority of cases go untreated. Why? Because most men are
ashamed and embarrassed to share this personal concern with a trained professional. Instead, they try to prolong sex by thinking about
baseball. They think of complicated math problems or tax returns. They only have sex when drinking alcohol. They rub expensive creams on
their penis to numb pleasurable sensations.
You have probably tried some of these interventions, but NONE of them have ever proven to eliminate premature
ejaculation. Instead, they add to the frustration and performance anxiety, which actually makes the problem worse.
My Solution Focused Approach© teaches you this voluntary control. You complete
the self-help manual in the privacy of your own home, at your own pace. Before you know it, you will now be enjoying sex the way you want to, in control of your own pleasure and your partner's.
